Painting with Kansai Gloss Enamel

New Paint

Surfaces must be clean, dry and free from all defective or poorly adhering material dirt, Grease, wax etc. Remove any rust or scaling with suitable sandpaper. Apply a coat of Red Oxide or Zinc Phosphate primer. Let the surface dry overnight. Scuff (wet or dry as the conditions allow) the surface, dust off and clean residual powder with petrol or turpentine dampened cloth.

Repaint for Sound Surface

Remove any loosely adhering material with the help of scraper, suitable sandpaper or wire brush. Apply a coat of Red Oxide or Zinc Phosphate primer. Let the surface dry overnight. Scuff (wet or dry as the conditions allow) the surface, dust off and clean residual powder with petrol or turpentine dampened cloth.

If the surface is sound and intact, gently scuff (wet or dry as the conditions allow) the surface with fine water proof sandpaper, dust off and clean residual powder with petrol or turpentine dampened cloth.

Galvanized and aluminum surface

New galvanized and aluminum surfaces should be cleaned and degreased. Then pre-treated with an appropriate pre-treatment primer to ensure good adhesion. A coat of Red Oxide primer will further improve the adhesion.

Finishing

Apply 2 or more coats of Kansai Gloss Enamel. Follow dilution ratios recommended in PRODUCT INFORMATION as per application procedure.
