Painting with Kansai ECO

New Paint

New or bare surfaces must be clean, dry and free from efflorescent salts. Remove all defective or poorly adhering material by rubbing down using a suitable abrasive paper or stiff brush and dust off. Treat any area affected by mould, lichens, algae or moss with bleach. After priming new surfaces with Kansai masonry primer, fill the surface with Kansai wall putty. Apply 2-3 coats of putty with putty applicator. Scuff the surface with suitable sandpaper and dust off.

Repaint for Sound Surface

Remove all defective or poorly adhering material by rubbing down using a suitable abrasive paper and dust off. Spot fill any uneven areas with Kansai Wall Putty and prepare the surface as described above.

Repaint for powdery, dusty surfaces, cracks & other surface defects

Repair minor defects. For large holes and cracks, use sand and cement mixture. Allow it to dry. Fill uneven areas with Kansai Wall Putty and prepare the surface as described above. Scuff surface using abrasive paper and dust off.

Finishing

After surface preparation, apply 2 or more coats of Kansai eco. Follow application procedure and thinning ratios as described in PRODUCT INFORMATION. STIR THOROUGHLY BEFORE USE.
