Kansai Paint showcases new line of Artisan Casa finishes and DIY products at IAPEX ‘14, Karachi

IAPEX ’14, organized by the Institute of Architects Pakistan – Karachi Chapter was held at the Expo Center, Karachi from 11-13th April 2014. This year marked the 10th successful running of the annual exhibition and consisted of a three day building product display and conference titled ‘Celebrating Icons’. The event was inaugurated by Mr. Jameeluddin Aali, a renowned poet, scholar and writer. IAPex visitors included leading national and international architects, interior designers, landscape designers, engineers, builders and contractors, home owners.

Kansai Paint participated in the IAPEX with stall display to showcase the Artisan Casa designer finishes for walls and flooring, Architectural coatings and a range of DIY Aerosol coatings. Present on the occasion were Agha Zafar Abbas, CEO Kansai Paint Pakistan; Fawad Ikram, Business Manager Engineering Coatings; Rubab Gardezi, Marketing and Business Development Manager and the South sales and business development team. The new product lines were well received by visiting architects, builders, contractors and home owners who should interest in the products.

Kansai Paint Celebrates Family Day 2013

Members of the Kansai Paint Pakistan (KPP) team, along with their families, gathered at the Kansai Plant in Lahore, on 21st December, 2013 for an exciting family get together. The event was hosted by Mr. Agha Zafar Abbas, Chairman/CEO and Mr. Mobeen Hassan – Technical Manager OEM. Mr. Agha Zafar Abbas welcomed KPP employees and their families to the Family Day and briefed the audience on the company’s achievements in the last year. The address was followed by a series of activities which included some outstanding performances by KPP employees, including skits, picture sketching competition and fun quizzes. While employees from the Operations department were recognized for their performance in the past year, children were also awarded for their excellence in academic and extra curricular acitivities. Family awards including the oldest and youngest couple awards were also handed out. The event also marked the five year completion of Kansai Paint in Pakistan and a celebratory cake was cut to mark the event’s significance. The series of activities was followed by an entertaining musical evening by Ms.Sara Raza Khan and team. The Family Day celebrations were formally concluded with a formal dinner. The event gave the KPP team and their family members the chance to get to know each other better and was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone.

Kansai Paint Japan team visits Kansai Paint Plant

KPJ senior team, including Furukawa san-Director Managing and Hori san -Deputy General Manager visited Kansai Paint Plant, for two days during the first week of December 2013.Mr. Ameer Hamza Hasan, CEO KPME and Mr. Shahzad Asad Khan, CEO KPI also accompanied them during their visit to KPP. The KPJ team took a full tour of our Plant at Sundar Industrial Estate and had a full day discussion on different technical aspects of KPP operations. To commemorate the event, a tree was also planted at the plant, as seen in the pictures below.

Kansai Paint amongst 100 Fastest Growing Companies of Pakistan

“It is a matter of pride for all of us that Kansai Paint Pakistan has won a place in the 100 Fastest Growing Companies of Pakistan. The competition is an annual event organized by an American organization called “All World 100” and is supported by MIT Enterprise Forum, USAID, Bank Alfalah and a number of other prestigious organizations. The very well attended award ceremony was held in Islamabad and the Federal Minister for Planning and Development, Mr. Ahsan Iqbal, gave away the certificates.


Following the event in Karachi, The Institute of Architects Pakistan, Lahore Chapter and Kansai Paint organized a lecture series at the PC Hotel, Lahore on 24th October 2013. The event was attended by executive committee and general members of IAP, Lahore Chapter as well as the Kansai Team. The event was opened by Arch. Ahmad Pervez, Chairperson IAP Lahore Chapter and Agha Zafar Abbas, CEO Kansai Paint Pakistan. Ghulam Ali graced the audience with his enchanting musical performance which was followed by dinner. The event gave architects of Lahore and Kansai’s management a platform and ann opportunity to network and share their achievements and accomplishments. A large number of architects along with their families attended the musical evening which turned out to be a huge success.

Kansai Paint Launches “Spectrum Color Studio”

The Decorative Department launched its “Spectrum Color Studio” at 11,CCA Phase V – D.H.A Lahore on 23rd October 2013. The event was conducted in collaboration with IAP-Lahore chapter and was well received by the Architects of Lahore. All were given a tour of the Color Studio and a demo of our tinting machine. The event was concluded with a Hi-tea . Architects appreciated Kansai’s efforts and wished KPP’s team goodluck for the future.

Kansai Paint supports the Indus Valley School Founders Day 2013

Kansai Paint lent its support to help sponsor the Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture Founder’s Day 2013. The annual event is organized by the IVS Alumni Association as an attempt to recognize the efforts of the institution’s foundering members in setting up one of Karachi’s leading Art and Architecture schools. Attended by around 500 students of the current and graduated batches. Founding members and faculty, the evening featured performances and speeches by students and alumni. The highlight of the event was a short documentary on how the school came into existence, featuring motivational snippets of founders, faculty, alumni and students talking about what IVS means to them and how the institution changed their outlook on life. The event also marked the twelfth anniversary of the alumni association and was followed by a human installation performance and lantern lighting ceremony. The event was marked closed by a dinner, sponsored by Kansai Paint.

Kansai Paint sponsors musical evening for Institute of Architects Pakistan, Karachi Chapter

The Institute of Architects Pakistan, Karachi Chapter and Kansai Paint organized a musical evening at Marriot Hotel, Karachi on 17 Sept 2013. The event was attended by executive committee and general members of IAP, Karachi Chapter as well as the Kansai Team. The event was opened by Arch. Mumtaz Jilani, Chairperson IAP Karachi Chapter and Agha Zafar Abbas, CEO Kansai Paint Pakistan. Mr. Abbas welcomed the executive committee and members and thanked them for their support. Tina Sani graced the audience with a musical performance of the writings of Faiz Ahmed Faiz and Ahmed Faraz. The musical evening was followed by dinner.

ACCA held a ceremony, on 27 March 2013 at Royal Palm Golf and Country Club –Lahore, to welcome and mark the achievements of new members. The ceremony was opened by Arif Masud Mirza; Head of ACCA Pakistan, who welcomed the new members to the ACCA fraternity. Agha Zafar Abbas, Chief Executive Kansai Paint (Pvt) Ltd was the honorable Chief Guest at the event. He discussed the role of existing members in giving greater access to better employment opportunities through the growing ACCA networks and the importance of professional accountants towards creating sustainable growth in an economy like Pakistan. He said that he saw ACCA’s as strategists and business leaders re-shaping the future of the country.

Other distinguished guests at the ceremony were Salman Hafeez Malik; Chief Financial Officer Crescent Bahuman Limited, and Nida Naeem member of the Member’s Network panel. Kansai Paint Pakistan holds annual sales conference 2013

Kansai Paint held its day long annual sales conference 2013 on 2 March ‘13, at Pearl Continental Bhurban. Agha Zaffar Abbas, CEO Kansai Paint Pakistan, led the conference by welcoming all the participants and holding brainstorming activities that focused on maximizing the utilization and effectiveness of organizational resources. Also present at the event were Syed Adeel Ahmed, CFO; Mustafa Khan, NSM Decorative Coatings; Fawad Ikram, NSM Engineering Coatings, Farrukh Alam; NSM Automotive Coatings, Muhammad Mamoon Ali, Plant & Operations Manager and Rubab Garedzi; Marketing Manager – who made presentations on last year’s progress of their respective departments.

The conference was attended by Kansai’s country wide sales management, operations, marketing, finance, technical and support teams. The event served as a good platform for knowledge sharing and discussion between cross functional teams regarding efficient resource utilization. The Sales Conference was marked closed with a dinner and musical evening, which were thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. Outstanding performance and notable contributions of team members were also recognized at an award ceremony the next day; followed by 1 full day of fun where the entire Kansai team visited The Mall Road, Murree. The conference laid the roadmap for 2013, motivating all team members to strive harder towards the achieving goals set of the new year.

Training conducted on High Impact Selling by Mr. Ramiz Allahwala

A one day training program titled “High Impact Selling” was conducted by Mr. Ramiz Allahwala at Marvel Hotel, Lahore on 25 February 2013. The training was attended by members of Kansai’s senior and middle management from all regions across Pakistan.

The training, used a blend of lecture and activity based learning to impart key takeaways. Mr. Ramiz discussed the importance of understanding the offering, 5 steps to selling, building an impactful presentation and key tips on delivering an effective presentation. Participants thoroughly enjoyed the training; gave positive feedback regarding the session and what they learnt during it.

Mr. Ramiz Allahwala consults and trains widely on strategy, leadership, team performance and service management for hyper growth organizations. He has extensive experience in managing companies and providing advisory services. Ramiz has conducted successful training sessions at numerous multinational and national organization, and is the founder of Gulf Stone Leadership Training in USA and Pakistan.

Kansai Paint introduces Stainguard, Premium Water Based Matt

Kansai Paint Pakistan held a ceremony at Marriot Hotel, Karachi on 5 February 2013 to launch its new super premium aqua matt coating – Stain Guard. The new water based matt coating has been designed to repel stains, offers a high stain resistance, has an ultra smooth finish and is odour free. The event was attended by dealers from the Karachi and Interior Sindh regions. Present on the occasion were Mr. Mustafa Khan, National Sales Manager Decorative Coatings; Mr. Anwar Yar Khan, Regional Sales manager Decorative Coatings (South); and the entire South Trade, Business Development and Housing Teams.

“Effective Selling Skills” workshop conducted by Mr. Hassan Bin Rizwan

A two day workshop titled “Effective Selling Skills” was organized by Octara at Marvel Hotel, Lahore on 24th – 25th January 2013. The workshop was attended by Kansai Paint Pakistan sales teams from both Industrial and Decorative coatings departments. Mr. Hassan Bin Rizwan conducted the two day workshop, during which he discussed sales techniques that focus on solving customer problems and how to offer customized solutions to create a differentiating edge.

The workshop used a mix of learning activities, including class room learning, role playing, group exercises and video based activities to deliver key takeaways. Participants were enthusiastic about attending the training and felt that they had picked up valuable tips on making their sales technique more effective.

Program facilitator, Mr. Hassan Bin Rizwan, is an associate of Octara Pvt. Ltd. He has worked with both US and Pakistani organizations for the past eight years, helping them tap the true potential of their human resource. He specializes in organizational communication, sales training, and management development.

Kansai Celebrates Family Day 2012

Members of the Kansai Paint Pakistan (KPP) Team along with their family gathered at the Kansai Plant in Lahore, on 22 December, 2012 for the first ever family get together. The event was hosted by Mr. Umar Zaffar Lodhi; Materials Manager and opened by Agha Zafar Abbas; Chief Executive. Mr. Abbas welcomed KPP employees and their families to the Family Day and brief the audience on the company’s history and achievements since establishment in Pakistan. The address was followed by a series of activities which included some outstanding performances by KPP employees, including skits, picture sketching competition and a musical evening. The Family Day celebrations were concluded with a formal dinner, the event gave the KPP team and their family members the chance to get to know each other better and was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone.

Kansai Paint Plant visit and painting competition planned for children

In an effort to introduce children to the bright world of colors, Kansai Paint Pakistan organized a Plant visit on December 7, 2012. Children were taken on a Plant round where they were introduced to the paint making process; and were very excited to see different colors coming out of the machines. To make the trip memorable, a small painting competition was also held on the plant premises. The children unleashed their creativity and made colorful artworks inspired by their trip including the manufacturing process, machineries, lab equipment and some even tried painting the plant! The young artists received a lot of encouragement from the plant management and were given gifts as a small token of appreciation. Kansai Paint Pakistan honored with Corporate Excellence Award

Kansai Paint Pakistan has been honored with the Corporate Excellence Award by the Institute of Cost & Management Accountants of Pakistan (ICMAP). The panel of judges included the president of South Asian Finance Association (SAFA), Mr. Muhammad Rafi; President ICMAP, Mr. Zia ul Mustafa Awan. The award was presented by Sardar Muhammad Latif Khosa, Governor of Punjab at the inaugural ceremony of the three day ‘Corporate Pakistan 2012’ trade exhibition and business conference on 9th November 2012. Agha Zafar Abbas, CEO Kansai Paint Pakistan was present on the occasion to receive the award. The award recognizes Kansai Paint Pakistan’s rapid business growth, investment in the state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, continuous R&D and community development initiatives.

The event is endorsed by Ministries of Finance, Industry and Commerce, Chambers, Stock Exchanges and Regulators. The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan (ICMAP) is the sole provider of cost and management accounting education, training and professional certification in Pakistan. With over 4000 members, it has been serving the nation for over 61 years.

Kansai Paint participates in Corporate Pakistan 2012, Lahore

The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan (ICMAP) organized a trade exhibition and business conference titled “Corporate Pakistan 2012” from 9-11 November, 2012 at the Lahore Expo Centre. The event was organized with the intent of promoting Pakistan’s corporate sector.

Governor of Punjab Sardar Muhammad Latif Khan Khosa inaugurated the ‘Business Professionals Conference’ which launched the 3 day exhibition. Agha Zafar Abbas, CEO Kansai Paint Pakistan was also invited to the conference, and spoke about the benefits to Pakistani economy with the establishment of multinational corporations such as Kansai Paint Pakistan.

Kansai was also present at the exhibition, which served as a good networking opportunity with participants and visitors from various organizations.

Kansai Paint Japan team visits Kansai Paint Pakistan

Kansai Paint Japan (KPJ) team visited Kansai Paint Pakistan in November, 2012, in an effort to take the global Kansai operations one step ahead. During the visit, Kansai teams from Pakistan and Japan, extensively held discussions on research and development facilities and their future plans. Every year the Kansai Group invests millions of dollars on R&D to ensure that it not only brings forth the latest innovations from the paints and coating solutions world, but that it provides its customers with products of the highest quality. Maintaining superior product quality has always been a top priority of the Kansai Group, and the KPJ team was pleased to find that the standards being followed by Kansai Paint Pakistan exceeded the benchmark levels.

KPJ team was also taken around the culturally and historically rich city of Lahore to orient them with the softer side of Pakistan. The Japanese delegates also paid a visit to the local paint market in Pakistan and noted their observations with respect to the environment and usage as areas to further enhance the product performance.

Auto Refinish Training Programme organized by Kansai Paint for FESF Deaf Reach Training Center

A 3 day training was conducted for students of the FESF Deaf Reach Training Center (DRTC), at the Kansai Paint Pakistan factory premises from 13-15 November, 2012 – conducted by Mr. Khurshid Imam, Technical Manager Industrial and Auto-Refinish Coatings.

An estimated 1.5 million Pakistani children are profoundly deaf and cannot attend mainstream schools and have little or no educational and employment opportunities. The training programme organized by Kansai Paint, not only allowed DRTC students to get hands-on technical and applicative knowledge regarding Automotive Refinish Coatings, but was also geared to add value to their skill set for future employment opportunities.

The initiative is one of many, highlighting Kansai Paint’s commitment of giving back to the communities that it works in and being socially responsible.

Providing a creative outlet to talented students across Lahore – Kansai Paint Coloring Competition 2012

Kansai Paint Pakistan in collaboration with The Daily Jang Group of Newspapers – Cultural Wing, organized an engaging coloring competition at schools located throughout Lahore. The activity was kicked off on 6th November and is planned to run throughout the month at various schools.

Participating school include branches of The City School, Beaconhouse School System, The Educator School, Lahore Grammer School, Defence Public School, American International School, Bloomfield Hall School etc. The activity was appreciated by heads of the participating schools for providing a much need outlet for their student’s creative expression.

Along with the prize distribution ceremony, a magic and puppet show was also organized for the students of the participating schools.

Training Workshop on Credit & Collection

A 2-day training on Credit and Collection was organized by IntelAct at Hospitality Inn Hotel Lahore, on 18-19 October 2012. The highly interactive training dealt with a practical approach in dealing with day to day collections, exploring the mechanics of the credit function and how it supports and enhances the collections effort. The programme was conducted by Mr. Rehman Khan, a Candian chartered accountant who has articled with Ernst and Young, Canada and worked as Senior Tax Manager at Ernst & Young, Saudi Arabia. He has several years of experience in the field of Public Accounting and has since held senior management positions in various industries for more than 25 years.

Participating organizations included TCS, Pioneer Industries, Akzo Nobel, Zong. Mr. Adeel Ahmed, CFO and Mr. Faisal Mehboob, Accounts Executive represented Kansai Paint Pakistan at the training session. The training session was not only informative but also provided an excellent networking platform for the participants.

Training Workshop on Import Export Management

Umar Zaffar Lodhi, Manager Materials and Purchase and Hina Agha, Assistant Purchase Manager represented Kansai Paint Private Ltd in a two day training workshop on Import and Export management, organized by Recknor’s Institute at The Royal Palm Golf and Country Club, Lahore, on 29th and 30th September 2012. Recknor’s is a highly developed and well known consulting and training firm which provides organizations with extensive training in areas such Accounts, Management, IT and International Trade. Individuals from some leading organizations participated in the workshop.

The main focus of the workshop was the fundamentals of foreign trade management in today’s global economic scenario and management of processes, legal issues and documentation involved in foreign trade. The workshop was led by Mr. Syed Hassnain Haider, a renowned name in Pakistan’s banking sector. Currently working for Bank Alfalah, Mr. Haider’s “hands-on” exposure in the field added further value to the workshop as participants received practical solutions to their queries.

The workshop provided an excellent learning and networking opportunity for the participants.

Training on Supply Chain Management – Achieving optimal Supply Chain performance whilst managing risk

The Society of Mechanical Engineers of Pakistan (SMEP) organized a 2-day workshop at Marvell Hotel Lahore, titled ‘Supply Chain Management – Achieve optimal supply chain performance whilst managing risk’ on 30-31 August 2012. The workshop was conducted by Dr. Aneel Salman, Professor of Economics and Management at the Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engg Sciences and Technology; and Engr. Mian Masood Ahmed who has an extensive operation management experience in leading FMCG companies in Pakistan and abroad.

The workshop was attended by Umer Zaffer Lodhi, Manager Materials; Miriam Mehdi, Asst. Product Manager – Industrial Coatings; Hassan Sami, Asst. Product Manager – Decorative Coatings; Hina Agha, Technical Trainee Commercial. Participants from other organizations included Pepsi Co., Coca Cola, Pakistan Tobacco Company, Century Paper and Board Mills, Millat Tractors and Fauji Fertilizers.

During the two day programme participants learnt how they can better implement a collaborative planning process at their organizations and how to make their supply chain functions more effective.

Kansai Paint collaborates with Family Educational Services Foundation (FESF) to provide paint for upcoming school buildings

Kansai Paint Pvt (Ltd.) has joined hands with FESF to help support their mission of educational development for the disadvantaged. Kansai will be donating and supplying paint materials for three new upcoming FESF school buildings in Karachi, Hyderabad and Nawabshah – revamping these old buildings which have been generously donated to FESF by the Rangoonwala Trust. Family Educational Services Foundation (FESF) is a non-profit educational organization working in Pakistan since 1984, to enhance the quality of life for all members of the community, especially those who are disadvantaged. They invest in educational development and provide innovative training programs and services empowering the recipients to gain both competency and self-sufficiency.

The collaboration is aimed at painting a brighter future for FESF students and using Kansai products and services to make continuous contributions to societies that the group operates in.

Designing the Future – Kansai Participates in the Lahore Chapter IAPex 2012

The Lahore chapter of Institute of Architects (IAP) organized the IAPEX 2012 – “Celebrating the Past – Designing for the future” at the Lahore Expo Centre on June 15-17, 2012. IAPex visitors included leading national and international architects, interior designers, landscape designers, engineers, builders and contractors, home owners.

Kansai Paint Pvt Ltd. participated in the expo with a colorful stall setup and on-ground activities for visitors, which were highly appreciated by those who visited the stall. Additionally visitors to the expo were also attracted by the sample panels of special decorative finishes displayed at the stall. Representing Kansai Paint on all three days of the event were Agha Zafar Abbas, CEO; Mustafa Khan, NSM decorative coatings, the Marketing and Sales team – Central. The Lahore Chapter – IAPex, provided Kansai Paint with an excellent opportunity for brand building and interacting with architects and homeowners.

Kansai Hosts Event For South Region Dealerships

Kansai Paint organized a get together and dinner for its valued business partners from the South Region, at Marriot, Karachi on 27 April, 2012. The event was attended by key persons from Kansai’s Dealerships in the South Region. Also present on the occasion were Agha Zafar Abbas, CEO Kansai Paint; Mustafa Khan, NSM Decorative Coatings; Adeel Ahmed, CFO Kansai Paint; Rubab Gardezi, Marketing Manager; and the entire Decorative Coatings South Sales Team.

The Dealer Event was organized to bolster the awareness of Kansai’s global presence and to share long term and short term plans with dealers. The event was of significance to the Kansai Team as it gave them a chance to receive market feedback directly from dealers and gave dealers a chance to network with their peers. Dealers were also presented by Certificates of Dealership, followed by dinner. The event was well received amongst dealers.

Kansai South Celebrates Family Day

Members of Kansai’s South Team along with their spouses, gathered at Marriot, Karachi on 26th April, 2012 for the first South Family get together. The Event was hosted by Agha Zafar Abbas, CEO Kansai Paint.

Couples were put to the test in a fun ‘How well do you know your spouse’ question and answer round – followed by dinner. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves and the event gave team members and their families the opportunity to get to know each better.

Kansai Participates in the “Super Car & Bike & Home Expo

Kansai Paint Pakistan participated in the “Super Car & Bike and Home Expo” held on 5-6 May, 2012 at the Lahore Expo Center. The expo brought together a number of organizations from the car, bike, home and supporting industries under one roof. The event was inaugurated by Mr. Nayar Ali Dada and was attended by Car & Bike enthusiasts as well as architects, contractors, home owners and the general public.

Kansai is the dominant supplier of automotive paints to the leading car manufacturers in Pakistan, including Honda, Suzuki & Toyota. The new sport addition of Honda City that was specially painted by Kansai Paint, was also on display at the Kansai Stall, and attracted quite a crowd.

Visitors were keen to learn about Kansai, its products and enthusiastically took part in the Kansai Lucky Draw. Numerous lucky winners won the opportunity to get a free room painted by Kansai.


Kansai participates as a Platinum Sponsor in the Pakistan Housing Construction Conference, Karachi

The Pakistan Housing Construction Conference was organized by I&M Conference in Karachi on 22 March, 2012 – for which Kansai was a platinum sponsor. The conference consisted of a number of panel discussions focused on the issues faced by Pakistan’s Housing Construction Industry and the steps required to modernize Pakistan’s Housing Sector. Kansai’s added value to the proceedings of the conference by presenting radical product breakthroughs in the paint’s industry which could have a positive impact on housing developments and construction in Pakistan.

The event brought together noted industrialist, government officials, bankers, builders, architects, urban planners and NGO officials. These included Senator Syed Mustafa Kamal; Mr. Shahid Feroz, CEO Port Grande; S.M.Muneer, Vice Chairman MCB Bank; Arif Habib, Chairman Naya Nazimabad; Mohsin Sheikhani, Chairman ABAD, Aun Rehman, CEO Acumen Fund; Arch. Employees of Kansai Paint Pakistan gathered at the Lahore Sundar plant on 16, March, 2012 to bid farewell to Mr. Yukimitsu Miyagi as he completed his tenure at Honda Atlas Cars (Pakistan) Ltd. and returns to Japan.

Mr. Miyagi has served a decorated career with the Honda Motor Company, starting his career at the Honda Saitama Plant, Japan in 1977, he has since then has been associated with the organization for the past 34 years. Prior to taking over as Director/VP Production of Honda Atlas Cars (Pakistan) Ltd., Mr. Miyagi was Manager of Overseas Production & Business Planning Divisions in Japan. He has vast experience of production planning and vehicle assembling in Japan and overseas assignments and has also served with Honda Malaysia and Honda Philippines for 13 years.

A plant tour, followed by an interactive Q/A session and Hi-tea were organized at the Kansai Plant. Staff members were eager to learn about his professional and personal experience in Pakistan, new developments at Honda Motor Company and his future plans. Mr. Miyagi concluded his speech to the Kansai Team with the following words of advice: “Ganbatte Kudasai” meaning Work hard, keep it up!

LUMS Networking Night 2012

Networking Night for the graduating MBA batch was hosted by Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) at the University’s campus on 2nd March, 2012.

The event was an august gathering of Multinational Companies, FMCGs, banks and employers from various sectors of business from all across Pakistan. It was the right platform for all employers to network with the best human resource available in the country.

Networking Nights gives the employer an opportunity to tap in their choice pool and secure the best resource very early on during the last semester of the graduating batch. The interface offers a unique opportunity of informal dialogue and information exchange between the employers and the students.

Sales Conference

Kansai Paint Pakistan held a one of a kind Sales Conference on 3rd and 4rth February, in Pearl Continental Hotel Rawalpindi and Murree. The main theme of the event was to collectively analyze last year’s performance, to download learnings and inculcate them in the new year’s business strategy. The conference also brought formal and informal team building and inter departmental cohesion sessions. The participants included all the members of sales team across all 3 company businesses, operational staff and top management.

Spouse Dinner 2012

Work–life balance is a broad concept including proper prioritizing between “work” (career and ambition) on the one hand and “life” (health, pleasure, leisure, family and spiritual development) on the other. Kansai Paint held a dinner at Royal Palm, Lahore on January 29th for the company employees along with their spouse to motivate them to do just that.

A memorable evening of laughter and fun was organized for the Kansai Team members leaving them knowing their spouses better both professionally and personally. Friendships amongst Kansai Clan were made and bonds were strengthened.

The Pakistan Auto Parts Show 2011

Kansai booth at Pakistan Auto Parts Show 2011, EXPO Centre KarachiThe PAKISTAN AUTO PARTS SHOW 2011 hosted by Pakistan Association of Automotive Parts & Accessories Manufacturers (PAAPAM) was held in Lahore from the 24th to 26th of Oct, 2011.

PAPS 2011 was an august gathering of auto industry professionals covering Pakistan wide leading auto parts manufacturers, OEMs, investors as well as media sponsors and government departments. It was a great platform for the attendants to network being Pakistan’s largest automotive trade show and business forum.

As the leading Supplier of OEM paint, Kansai Paint Pakistan actively participated in event. Our booth was neatly designed and placed at the entrance of Hall 2. As expected, our booth attracted a large number of audiences because of its unique features and colorful design. Kansai demonstrated all automotive, industrial and decorative products at the exhibition.

The event was visited by a large number of buyers from across the world while over 128 multinational national companies displayed their products including manufactures of Cars, Motorcycles, Buses, Tractors and Auto spare parts on this occasion.

Over 10,000 visitors, leading foreign delegations and auto industry’s representatives from China, Japan, Germany, Italy, Australia, Holland, Sri Lanka, United Arab Emirates and India visited the Pakistan Auto Show on the second day of the three-day event, where they showed keen interest in products of local auto manufacturers and parts makers. To improve Brand awareness, Kansai conducted a lucky draw where each attendee was given the opportunity to complete a draw slip for a chance to win a room, painted for free with Kansai products, anywhere in Pakistan. The draw attracted major stall traffic with many a clients and customers were introduced to KPPs decorative portfolio.

A number of Industrial customers showed keen interest in Kansai Paints. The team handled multiple paint related queries to customers including Auto assemblers, vendors, jobbers and many others from varied fields. A number of leads for new industrial business were received during the Exhibition which are expected to materialize into business with proper developmental and commercial follow up.
